Brendan Rodgers will be hoping that Jamie Carragher has shaken off his injury by the time he picks his starting XI to face Aston Villa.
The 35-year-old, who is retiring at the end of the season, was ruled out of the defeat at Southampton last time out with a shin injury, so Daniel Agger and Martin Skrtel were paired at centre-back, but the hope is he will be back for Sunday.
Midfielder Joe Allen will not feature as he has had a shoulder operation to cure his problem and he will not be seen again this season.
Pepe Reina has had a calf injury but should play and Rodgers will check on all his returning internationals before deciding on his final XI.
The Reds are likely to be without Raheem Sterling for the clash as the young star is currently being rested after a busy season.
