Liverpool star 'honoured' to be Juve target

Emre Can has not ruled out the prospect of joining either Juventus or Bayern Munich when his Liverpool contract expires next year.

There are now less than eight months left on Can's current deal at Anfield and speculation over the player's intentions has been intense since the summer when Juventus made a big play for his signature.

Manchester United were last week linked to the Germany midfielder while Bayern Munich, where the 23-year-old began his career as a youth, are understood to hold a long-term interest.

Speaking on Sunday, when Can scored his first international goal for Germany, he said it was an "honour" to be linked with Juventus.

"It’s always an honour to receive an offer from such a renowned club, but currently I am only focused on the season with Liverpool. My agent takes care of the rest," Can told German outlet Kicker.

"The Premier League is just a really cool league, the most interesting in the world, but you must always respect other big clubs and leagues."

Asked whether he could join Jurgen Klopp at Bayern Munich, the Reds boss having been linked with the permanent manager’s job at Allianz-Arena, Can replied: “You never know what will happen. And I don’t what Jurgen Klopp plans.”
