Reds striker eyes swift return
Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge hopes he will be fit to return to action for his side's next outing against West Brom on Monday.
The Reds forward was forced to leave the field at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday after picking up an thigh injury in the 2-2 draw with Premier League champions Manchester City.
Sturridge has now pulled out of the England squad, who are preparing to face Brazil on Wednesday, as he continues his recovery with Liverpool this week.
The 23-year-old has admitted he is disappointed to miss the action with the Three Lions but hopes he will be fit to face the Baggies at Anfield, in a big game for the Reds who you can back using your free bet.
Sturridge told the club's official website: "I got a knock on my quad and I'm going to get a scan on it.
"Hopefully it's not too serious and I'll be okay for next week's game.
"We'll regroup and get ready for our next game against West Bromwich Albion, which is another massive game for us because they are also challenging for the top places."
