Rodgers sticks up controversial Suarez
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers chose to focus on Luis Suarez's footballing contribution after his latest brush with controversy.
The Uruguayan forward went down theatrically in the penalty area towards the end of the goalless draw with Stoke, incurring the wrath of Potters boss Tony Pulis.
Rodgers claimed not to have seen the incident and went on to praise the forward's individual display as a first home league win of his reign eluded him once more.
"I haven't seen the incident so I can't really comment on it but whatever Luis does there will always be a problem, whether it's media, referees or whatever," Rodgers said.
"It gets brought up every week, it's something that is not new.
"I thought he was terrific, some of his movement and combinations."
