The Brazilian has used every ounce of diplomacy at his disposal to insist he remains "dedicated" to the Blues, where he is under contract.
However, the former Real Madrid man has also used the Spanish press to lavish praise on Nou Camp chief Pep Guardiola and his star-studded squad.
"Of course I would like to play for Barca. Who would not? We could have so much fun," he told El Mundo Deportivo.
"It would be a pleasure to play alongside [Lionel] Messi, my compatriot Dani Alves, Xavi, [Andres] Iniesta, [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic, with them all. They're a great team."
Robinho added: "Now would not be the right time to say things that could be badly interpreted here or there.
"I have a contract with City and, being the professional that I am, I am dedicated to them."
Robinho is currently sidelined with an ankle problem and is not expected to return to action before the end of the month.
