City have two great opportunities to lift a trophy this season in the Europa League and FA Cup and the next few days could shape the rest of their season.
Mancini's side travel to the Ukraine to take on Dynamo Kiev in the Europa League on Thursday followed by an FA Cup sixth round clash at home to Reading on Sunday.
The Eastlands boss blamed tiredness on his team's laboured 1-0 win over Wigan last Saturday but is hoping his players have now recovered and would love to reach both finals if possible.
He said: "We will try to reach the final if it is possible, both in the Europa League and the FA Cup. It depends on our players recovering their strength.
"The Europa League is a great competition. There are big teams in it. You can get to the quarter-finals and meet an important team.
"There are a lot of well-known sides in the competition. All the teams we can play usually play in the Champions League. It is a little Champions League. All the teams are big ones."
