Pep Guardiola faces a midfield conundrum with David Silva fit to return ahead of tomorrow's Premier League clash at Swansea.
The Spain playmaker has missed the last 10 days with a small muscle injury he picked up on the eve of Manchester City's Champions League fixture with Borussia Monchengladbach.
Silva has trained this week without any issues and Guardiola must now consider whether to hand him an instant recall or keep faith with Ilkay Gundogan and Kevin De Bruyne at the heart of City's creative engine room.
Another option could be to utilise Silva in a wide left role, with compatriot winger Nolito banned for three games following his dismissal for a headbutt during the closing minutes of last weekend's 4-0 stroll over Bournemouth.
City have been staying at Celtic Manor since Wednesday's 2-1 EFL Cup win over the Swans and trained at the nearby Wales FA facility.
Guardiola has been at pains to ensure minimal disruption as his team go in search of a 10th successive victory.
Pep's attacking options will be further enhanced at the Liberty Stadium by the return of Argentinian striker and top scorer Sergio Aguero from suspension.
