City pair to miss Stamford Bridge trip
Manchester City pair Sergio Aguero and Kevin De Bruyne have been ruled out of the champions’ Premier League trip to Chelsea.
Aguero, who last featured in the 2-2 draw with Lyon in the Champions League, is not being risked due to a muscular problem.
The game also comes too early for playmaker De Bruyne as he continues to work his way back after more than a month out with a knee injury.
Left-back Benjamin Mendy (knee) and goalkeeper Claudio Bravo (Achilles) remain on the long-term casualty list.
Gabriel Jesus will continue to deputise in Aguero’s absence, while Pep Guardiola has a big decision to make in attack, with Leroy Sane, Riyad Mahrez and Raheem Sterling competing for a starting role on the wing.
