Tottenham Hotspur v Leicester City – Match Preview
Leicester midfielder Youri Tielemans could make his debut in Sunday’s clash with Tottenham at Wembley.
The Foxes signed the Monaco midfielder on loan for the rest of the season last month to hopefully help them improve their form after a poor run.
They have not tasted victory in their last five games across all competitions, losing four, and boss Claude Puel remains under pressure.
Tielemans arrived fully fit and Puel confirmed he is in contention to go into the line-up, although he admits no decision has been made concerning the starting XI.
Winger Marc Albrighton is expected to miss the rest of the campaign due to a hamstring injury, while Daniel Amartey remains out with a broken leg.
Tottenham have won four of their last five Premier League games and need to continue that level of form if they are to keep pressure on Liverpool and Manchester City in the title race. A 2-0 victory at Leicester earlier in the season will offer hope of claiming another three points but they are weakened by current injuries.
Dele Alli and Harry Kane are back in training with Mauricio Pochettino admitting the latter could be available later this month. But Eric Dier has added to their absentee list after picking up a virus, while Ben Davies is still missing due to a groin problem.
Spurs are unbeaten in their last two home meetings with Leicester and claimed a dramatic 5-4 victory at Wembley last term.
