Kashi back from ban to face former club Charlton
Oxford will have Ahmed Kashi back from suspension for the Sky Bet League One clash with promotion-chasing Charlton.
Algerian midfielder Kashi served a one-match ban last weekend after picking up two yellow cards at Walsall on April 6 and could return to face his former club.
Marcus Browne, who was shown a straight red card against the Saddlers, is in the middle of a three-game suspension.
Forward Jamie Mackie is pushing for a return to Karl Robinson’s starting XI.
Igor Vetokele and Krystian Bielik should shake off minor fitness issues for Charlton.
Striker Vetokele came off with a tight hamstring in the second half of Saturday’s win over leaders Luton, while Bielik was substituted late on in that game due to cramp.
Addicks boss Lee Bowyer appears to have a full squad to select from at the Kassam Stadium, with Tariqe Fosu and Mark Marshall hoping to return after being left out of the 18 against the Hatters.
Long-term absentees Lewis Page and Jake Forster-Caskey played for the club’s under-23 side in midweek but are not expected to be rushed back into first-team action.
