The north east outfit have been steady in the early stages of the 2016-17 campaign but sit just one point above the relegation zone ahead of a busy December.
However, Karanka has taken confidence from recent performances against the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea and defending champions Leicester.
The Spaniard insists his main focus is putting some daylight between themselves and the drop zone, and not about potentially adding new faces in January.
Karanka said: "Today, I can't say I'm missing one position as I'm proud of everybody. The last thing I have in my head is January."
