Krul to face Baggies
Latest news update:
Newcastle keeper Tim Krul has been given the all clear to face West Brom after scans revealed all is well with his hamstring.
The Dutchman picked up a problem in his hamstring towards the end of last weekend's victory over Norwich and there were fears he could be facing a spell on the sidelines.
However the scans have come back showing no damage and Krul should be fit to face the Baggies as Newcastle look to book their place in next season's Europa League.
"Just had result back of the MRI scan. All clear. Already looking forward to West Brom," Krul revealed on Twitter.
Meanwhile, Newcastle have also been boosted by the news Sylvain Marveaux could return ahead of schedule to boost the club's push for European football.
The Frenchman has been struggling with a groin problem and there had been suggestions he may not play again this season. However he is making good progress and could be back in a couple of weeks.
