Courtois realises Real dream
Real Madrid’s new keeper Thibaut Courtois says he has realised a dream by making the move to the Santiago Bernabeu.
The Belgian international has completed a six-year deal with the reigning European champions, in a move that has seen Mateo Kovacic go in the opposite direction to Chelsea on a season-long loan.
Courtois is delighted to have finally got his move back to the Spanish capital and the former Atletico Madrid stopper is looking forward to getting started with Los Blancos.
Speaking about joining Real he said: ‘Today I am realising a dream.’
Courtois added: ‘This is the best club in the world.’
The 26-year-old is rated as one of the premier players in his position and was voted best goalkeeper at the World Cup in Russia, where Belgium beat England in the third-place play-off.
