International Friendly betting tips: Scotland v Belgium

Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku has suggested he will hang up his international boots after the 2020 European Championships.

Fresh from a third-placed finish at the World Cup, Belgium travel to Scotland and should be capable of leaving with the victory.

Belgium to beat Scotland to nil at 6/5
Scotland have lost their last two home games without scoring against Holland and Costa Rica and face a significant step up in class here against World Cup semi-finalists Belgium.

Belgium have won 10 of their last 14 away games, keeping clean sheets in six of those 10. Scotland have lost four of their last five games – all friendlies as this one is – and have failed to score in any of those defeats.

International friendlies have to be approached with some caution, especially at this time of year when players are just getting into a new season, but 6/5 looks decidedly generous here given the gulf in quality between the two sides.

Belgium to beat Scotland 3-0 at 8/1 and Belgium to beat Scotland 4-0 at 16/1
A couple of more speculative punts at the correct score could pay off here. Even without Kevin De Bruyne, Belgium possess an embarrassment of attacking riches.

They have won 3-0 twice and 4-0 twice within their last 15 matches and could easily outclass Scotland here if fully switched on for the task.
