Free Betting Tips: Europa League Matchday 2

Arsenal boss Unai Emery remains coy over the futures of Danny Welbeck and Aaron Ramsey, who are both out of contract this summer.

We had 11/4 and 12/5 winners from our four Champions League tips this week – now we’ve got 5/2 and 13/10 Europa League picks for Chelsea and Arsenal.

Under 2.5 goals in Chelsea v MOL Vidi FC at 5/2
Chelsea are 1/10 for victory here and with decent reason. They have just come within minutes of winning successive games against Liverpool, a team with a previously flawless record this season.

Clearly, this is a very different proposition. Chelsea should have far too much for a side sitting third in the Hungarian League.

But that doesn’t necessarily mean a rout. Vidi have conceded only one goal in their last three games and while Chelsea will take the Europa League seriously it is not top of their priority list. A win in second gear without unnecessary effort expended might be just the ticket for a team that beat PAOK 1-0 on the opening night of competition.

Chelsea’s last four games have featured a total of six goals and, while the standard is obviously lower here and the Blues could easily score a hatful, 5/2 looks generous for two goals or fewer in a game where value is hard to sniff out.

A 2-0 home win also looks a reasonable 11/2 chance in the correct score betting if Chelsea do get ahead and then look just to hold the weaker side at arm’s length.

Arsenal to beat Qarabag to nil at 13/10
We’re taking a bit of a chance here given Arsenal’s sloppy concession of two late goals on Matchday 1, but this still looks a very solid way to enhance the outright 9/20 Arsenal win price to something a bit more meaty.

Arsenal have won their last seven games on the spin – most against superior opposition to that provided by the Azeri side here – and conceded only one goal in three games since shipping those late goals to Vorskla Poltava.

Qarabag’s three defeats this season have all been in Europe, and they’ve failed to score in any of them.

Again, 2-0 looks the way to go in the correct score betting – at 6/1 this time – with Arsenal prevailing by that scoreline in two of their last three.
