Fabianski – We can overcome injury issues
West Ham goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski is confident his team can still overcome Arsenal despite their growing injury concerns.
The former Gunners keeper is set to start the game at the London Stadium and will be one of the few regulars available to Manuel Pellegrini, with the injuries mounting up for the Chilean.
Jack Wilshere, Fabian Balbuena and Andriy Yarmolenko remain long-term absentees, while Pellegrini could also be without Javier Hernandez and Marko Arnautovic.
Both players face late fitness tests but Fabianski insists his team have enough strength in depth to compete.
He told the club’s official website: ‘When I look at our team, it’s full of quality and I think that, when someone is missing because of injury or any other issues, it doesn’t really affect us because we still know that whoever is going to replace him has so much quality about him that we’re not really losing anything.
‘When you look at our squad, there is loads of quality and that gives us the belief that we’re going to compete, even if there are important players missing.’
