Mulumbu loan exit likely – Rodgers
Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has confirmed he is likely to allow Youssouf Mulumbu to leave on loan this month to get regular football.
The 31-year-old has struggled to force his way into Rodgers’ side since joining in the summer and he’s made just three appearances and only one in the league.
Rodgers has admitted the former West Brom man needs to be playing regularly and he’s open to him finding a new club on a temporary basis this month.
He told the Daily Record: ‘Youssouf is at the age where he needs to play, really.
‘He came in as a support player to the team, but he’s at the age really where he needs to play in the next part of the season, so he’ll probably go out on loan.’
It is thought there are clubs throughout Europe who would be willing to sign the DR Congo international and he’s expected to sit down for talks with Celtic soon to try and sort out a solution.
