Zambia legend Freddie Mwila has advised Kaizer Chiefs players to take their six-stud boots to face Zesco United on Sunday in a CAF Confederations Cup play-off first leg tie. Chiefs are set to face the Zambian giants at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola in the first leg, before the second leg takes place on 18 January in South Africa. Both sides are playing for the chance to reach the group stages of Africa’s second most prestigious continental club competition behind the CAF Champions League. Nonetheless, Mwila, who enjoyed a successful career across the world and played with Amakhosi boss Kaizer Motaung at Atlanta Chiefs, believes six-studs are needed due to heavy rain in Ndola. He told the Glamour Boys official website: ‘Zesco United are a very tough opponent. They are physically strong and like to move the ball around at speed. ‘They are far from pushovers. The players should take their six-studs [boots] with them, because if it rains in Ndola it really pours.’ Adding of his relationship with Motaung, the 72-year-old concluded: ‘Kaizer [Motaung] was a fantastic player, who was not only technically gifted, but he also scored a lot of goals. I gave him all the goals he scored, I provided the assists.’
