Swansea trio discussing new contracts
Graham Potter has confirmed three Swansea players are in talks over signing new contracts.
Daniel James, whose deadline-day move to Leeds United last month feel through at the 11th hour, midfielder Leroy Fer and defender Mike van der Hoorn are all contemplating extending their stays at the Liberty Stadium.
Potter, who still has aspirations of getting the Swans into the play-off places this season, is hoping the trio will stay with the Championship outfit for the foreseeable future.
‘I have personally spoken to Leroy around that yesterday,’ Potter told the club’s official website.
‘I spoke with him and the club are speaking with Mike and chatting with Dan as well.
‘So, in our own time, when it is right for all three.
We have started the process now and they will continue.
From a coach’s perspective, they have been important for us.
I like them as players, I like them as people and they have been important in the dressing room.
‘There is a bigger picture for everyone to consider, but we have started those conversations and we will see where it goes.’
