Reus in race to face Spurs
Borussia Dortmund are set to be without Marco Reus when they take on Tottenham in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
The influential skipper picked up a muscle injury during the DFB-Pokal clash against Werder Bremen last Tuesday and sat out the clash against Hoffenheim at the weekend.
He was badly missed as BVB squandered a 3-0 lead to draw 3-3, but they look sure to be without him again when they face Spurs in the first leg of the last-16 clash this week.
Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc says the injury is nothing serious, and has not completely ruled him out, although admits it’s unlikely he will play. ‘I think we will decide that in the short term,’ Zorc told Ruhrnachrichten. ‘But I do not expect a miraculous recovery before Wednesday.’
