Bournemouth star Ibe vows to improve
Bournemouth winger Jordon Ibe hasn’t been satisfied with his own performances and hopes to raise his game in the weeks ahead.
Ibe was a regular in the Cherries side last season but this term he has managed just 13 Premier League appearances, with only four of those as a starter.
The 23-year-old was handed his first start of 2019 in the 3-0 loss at his former club Liverpool at the weekend but was guilty of losing possession in the build-up to the Reds’ second goal and was removed from the action just before the hour mark.
‘I need to do much better,’ he told the Daily Echo.
‘There is still time until the end of the season and a lot of games to come.
‘As a team, we’ve had better times but we still have a chance to correct it.
‘I thought we tried our best against Liverpool and tried to create chances but that is how the game goes sometimes.
‘Playing against teams like this is difficult and if you get a chance you have to take it.
But it didn’t happen.
‘We have two weeks without a game now so it’s about trying to perfect things on the training pitch and being ready for the Wolves game.’
