Eddie Howe has admitted his Bournemouth squad is ‘stretched at the moment’ due to injuries but he’s trying to stay positive.

The Cherries have a lengthy injury list with Junior Stanislas, top-scorer Callum Wilson and influential midfielder David Brooks all on it alongside long-term absentees Lewis Cook and Simon Francis.

Howe was also without Charlie Daniels for family reasons and on-loan Nathaniel Clyne against Liverpool on Saturday as he was not allowed to face his parent club and the Bournemouth boss admits he has limited numbers at the minute.

With no game this coming weekend, it could give some players the chance to step up their recoveries but, aside from Clyne and Daniels returning, Howe is not too optimistic he will have any others back for the home game against Wolves on February 23.

Howe said: ‘We will have Nathaniel Clyne back and, hopefully, we will have Charlie Daniels back.

The others, I’m not sure.

I can’t sit here and say there will be anyone else returning.

‘I don’t want to make too much of it but we are stretched at the moment.’
