Kamara linked with OM exit
Marseille defender Boubacar Kamara has emerged as a potential transfer target for Premier League heavyweights Chelsea.
The defender made his OM debut last season and has fully established himself as a regular this term after 19 appearances in Ligue 1.
The 19-year-old’s performances in France have not gone unnoticed, with English duo Chelsea and Arsenal mooted as possible suitors.
Chelsea are understood to have sent scouts to keep tabs on Kamara on Friday night, as Marseille fought back from a goal down to win 2-1 at Dijon.
Gary Cahill will leave Chelsea at the end of the season and David Luiz is also expected to move on when his deal ends this summer, so the Blues are in the market for additions at centre-half.
Kamara will enter the final year of his Marseille deal at the end of the campaign and the Ligue 1 club are desperate to convince him to sign an extension.
If the youngster doesn’t agree fresh terms, the French outfit are likely to sell rather than allow Kamara to depart at the end of his deal as a free agent.
