Real Madrid are set to listen to offers of 50m euros this summer for James Rodriguez with Bayern Munich not expected to sign him permanently.

The Colombia international’s two-year loan at Bayern comes to an end this summer and it appears he will be heading back to Real rather than making the switch to Germany permanent.

The Bundesliga giants have an option to sign the World Cup 2014 star full-time but reports say they have not been convinced by his performances this season and are set to look elsewhere in the summer transfer market.

However, he does not look like having a long-term future at the Bernabeu either as returning boss Zinedine Zidane is expected to sanction his exit if Los Blancos receive offers of around 50m euros.

The creative midfielder joined Bayern in the summer of 2017 but he’s not always been an automatic starter and has managed 12 goals in 61 appearances in all competitions while on loan.

James was signed in summer 2014 by Real from Monaco after his impressive exploits for his country in Brazil but was allowed to join Bayern after failing to live up to expectations, managing 36 goals in 111 total appearances for the La Liga giants.

It is thought several clubs in Spain, England, Germany and Italy are all watching the situation closely and may decide to make a move for the 27-year-old when the window opens.
