Ryan Lowe delighted as Nicky Adams’ Bury contract is extended
Ryan Lowe has described Nicky Adams as ‘one of the best’ players he has shared a dressing room with after the midfielder extended his stay at Bury.
An extension has been triggered in Adams’ deal, though the Sky Bet League Two club did not disclose when the contract would run out.
The 32-year-old former Wales Under-21 international is in his third spell with the Shakers.
Manager Lowe, a former team-mate of Adams’ at Bury, told the club’s website: ‘I was very keen to sign Nicky as he’s not only great on the football pitch with his ability, but he’s also one of the best lads I’ve ever been with in the dressing room.
‘Everyone loves him, as he’s that happy-go-lucky person that just gets everyone up for it.
‘It’s massively important for the football club that we’ve tied him down, and it’s a big well-done to Nicky for getting to where he’s got to.
He completely deserves the contract, and I’m over the moon that it’s done.’
