Tammy Abraham is hoping to force his way into Chelsea’s first-team on a regular basis next season.

The 21-year-old is currently impressing on-loan at Championship club Aston Villa, where he has scored 21 goals in 32 league appearances.

Indeed, Abraham’s form in the second tier saw him linked with a January switch to Wolves, although no such move materialised and he will instead remain with Villa until the end of the season.

However, it appears the forward, who has also spent time on loan at Bristol City and Swansea, has no intentions of seeking another temporary switch next season, as he has his eyes firmly set on forcing his way into the Chelsea first-team.

‘That’s the aim going into next season,’ Abraham told Sky Sports.

‘As a young kid, I’ve always believed I will play for Chelsea.

I always believe that.

‘I think I have the ability to.

I just have to, when I get the opportunity, grab it with two hands.

‘ Abraham, who has won two senior international caps with England, believes fellow Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi, who has just earned his first call into Gareth Southgate’s squad, also has the ability to thrive at Stamford Bridge.

‘Watching him grow up to where he is now, he’s done very well.

He’s more than deserved this call up, I’m very happy for him,’ Abraham added.

‘Ever since a young age, he’s been unbelievable.

Now he’s actually doing it in men’s football for the world to see.

It’s heart-warming.

I just hope he continues that and carries on building.’
