Mourinho wants Monaco or Lyon – report
Reports claim Jose Mourinho wants his next job to be in France, with either Monaco or Lyon his preferred destination.
The Portuguese tactician has been out of work since being sacked by Manchester United in December last year and has watched as interim Red Devils chief Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has turned things around at Old Trafford.
Fall-outs with players and a generally negative style of play hardly enhanced his reputation at the Theatre of Dreams, but the 56-year-old has been quick to point out that he has already turned down two or three jobs and is waiting for the right offer.
He recently indicated that he wanted to be back in work this summer to prepare a new side for the 2019-2020 campaign and, according to L’Equipe, he has now made it known to Lyon and Monaco that he is willing to be their next coach.
Bruno Genesio and Leonardo Jardim are the respective managers at those particular clubs and it remains to be seen if they will be jettisoned for a man who brings baggage with him wherever he goes, and was labelled as out of touch with the modern game while disappointing with United.
