Crystal Palace will be looking for striker reinforcements this summer with Christian Benteke and Michy Batshuayi both tipped to leave.

Eagles boss Roy Hodgson swooped to bolster his lacklustre attacking options in January when he brought in Belgium international Batshuayi on loan from Chelsea in the January transfer window.

The 25-year-old has scored three goals in 11 appearances so far for Palace, but the deal is costing the south Londoners around £3.5million.

To sign Batshuayi permanently, Chelsea will be looking to pick up a fee of nearly £40m, which is beyond Palace’s budget so the Belgium international is poised to return to Stamford Bridge instead.

Meanwhile, Batshuayi’s fellow compatriot Benteke is also set to be offloaded following a poor season in which he is yet to score a goal in 13 league appearances having been blighted by a knee injury.

The former Aston Villa and Liverpool man is on big wages at Selhurst Park and reports suggest the club are hopeful that a Chinese side will swoop to offer him a big-money deal to lure him away.

Hodgson is believed to be looking at striker options with Paris Saint-Germain’s 19-year-old forward Timothy Weah linked to the club earlier this week.
