Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa has his fingers crossed that Liam Cooper’s injury is not a bad one and that he will return to the side soon.
Cooper was missing from the win over Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday after picking up a glute muscle injury before the game.
Bielsa is hoping the problem is not a bad one and that he will be able to play a full part in the run-in.
He told Leeds live: ‘The players don’t normally suffer pain in this muscle, but he was in pain and couldn’t play.
‘I value Cooper did everything he could to play the game.
It’s important to know he couldn’t play the game.
‘ The 27-year-old has played a big part for the Whites this season, making 34 appearances along the way, and a return to the side for the final four games would be a boost, starting at home to Wigan on Friday afternoon.
