Liverpool are reported to be targeting a move for Benfica starlet Joao Felix but would have to break the bank to land him.

The 19-year-old is one of the hottest young talents in European football and a host of top clubs are keeping an eye on him with a view to a summer swoop.

Liverpool are said to be among them but he will come at a price following reports there is a 120million euros release clause in his contract, and Benfica will not accept a penny less.

In fact the Portuguese club want to increase it to 200million euros, but that would involve getting Felix tied down to a new deal, which seems unlikely with so much interest.

It still remains to be seen if Liverpool would go as high as 120million, despite the fact he is only 19 and is a star of the future, and they may look elsewhere.

Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal and Wolves are also known to be keen, but it is claimed that Juventus are in the box seat to do a deal and would be happy to match the valuation.
