Onyekuru attracting summer interest from France
Everton forward Henry Onyekuru has reportedly emerged as a summer transfer target for Ligue 1 pair Marseille and Monaco.
Nigeria international Onyekuru arrived at Goodison Park in the summer of 2017 before being immediately loaned out to Anderlecht for that season, where he scored nine goals from 19 league appearances.
The 21-year-old returned to the Toffees when his temporary spell in Belgium came to an end before he was again sent out on a season-long loan, with Galatasaray the destination this time around.
His performances in Turkey have been receiving huge plaudits and the forward bagged his 12th league goal of the campaign in Sunday’s 1-1 draw away at Fenerbahce.
It is now being claimed Onyekuru, whose contract at Everton runs out in the summer of 2022, is being targeted by French duo Marseille and Monaco.
Les Rouges et Blancs are eager to strengthen their ranks as they close in on survival and head coach Leonardo Jardim is looking to bring the Toffees youngster in on either a loan or permanent deal.
As for Marseille, reports are linking Florian Thauvin with a summer exit and manager Rudi Garcia is hoping to bring in Onyekuru as a replacement if the Frenchman departs.
