Frankfurt to cash in on Jovic with Real ready to pounce
Real Madrid are reportedly close to agreeing a deal for striker Luka Jovic, just days after he signed for Eintracht Frankfurt.
The Bundesliga outfit announced this week that had activated the buyout clause in the loan agreement with Benfica for Jovic, who has netted 25 times in 41 games since joining the Eagles.
Frankfurt needed to spend just 6million euros to bring in the Serbian and are now considering whether to sell him on for a major profit come the summer.
Reports in Spanish daily AS claim Real Madrid have wasted little time in opening talks with the German outfit having closely followed the 21-year-old’s exploits over the course of the season.
Frankfurt are looking for a deal in the region in 60million euros, 20 per cent of which would go to Benfica, and Real are understood to be in advanced negotiations.
Real are desperate to improve their frontline during the summer and are also said to be closing in on a 100m euros deal for Chelsea forward Eden Hazard.
