Frank Lampard has urged his Derby players to rediscover the winning habit quickly as they bid to earn a play-off place.

The Rams twice had to come from behind to claim a 2-2 draw at Birmingham on Friday, a result that leaves them eighth in the Championship standings and three points behind Middlesbrough in the final play-off place.

Derby do have a game in hand on Boro and they still have to take on seventh-place Bristol City at Ashton Gate next Saturday in a match that could go a long way to determining their top-six hopes.

Before then, Lampard’s side will welcome Queens Park Rangers to Pride Park on Monday and the former Chelsea star has urged his players to take all three points.

‘We have a game in hand, we have to play at Bristol City and Swansea, but it is becoming more critical as we need to win games,’ Lampard told reporters.

‘This Championship is so difficult to predict as four games can mean such a lot.

‘We have to remain positive and focus on QPR on Monday.’
