Nara offers fresh twist on Icardi saga
Mauro Icardi’s wife-agent Wanda Nara says her family are preparing to stay in Milan – despite all the talk Inter want to sell him.
Inter are ready to offload the Argentine striker this summer for a fee in the region of 70-80m euros after a problematic campaign, where his contract dispute turned toxic after he was stripped of the club captaincy.
But Nara has suggested Icardi could stay put and throw Inter’s plans into chaos, with the Nerazzurri counting on his sale to bring in funds for a replacement.
‘Our family is Inter,’ the 32-year-old is quoted as saying by La Gazzetta dello Sport.
‘We are in Milan and we stay there.
I am one hundred per cent sure.
We have also renewed the school enrollment for our children.
‘ The likes of Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, who are reportedly interested in Icardi, won’t be put off by that, but neither is currently willing to pay Icardi’s 110m euros release clause, which can be exercised by July 15.
