Wan-Bissaka underlines Palace commitment
Aaron Wan-Bissaka has reassured Crystal Palace supporters that he will not be leaving the club this summer.
The England under-21 international has been the undisputed first-choice right-back for Palace since breaking into the first team last season and he has gone from strength-to-strength this term, with his form being recognised earlier this week when he was named the club’s player of the year.
The 21-year-old’s impressive displays have led to speculation linking him with a move to the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea, but he has now moved to dampen such talk by insisting he intends to still be a Palace player next season.
‘The situation just shows that my performances don’t go unnoticed,’ Wan-Bissaka told Standard Sport when reflecting on the recent transfer speculation.
‘But I am with Crystal Palace at the moment.
That is where my contract is and that is where I will be next season.
‘ Wan-Bissaka signed a new long-term contract with Palace in April last year, which runs until the summer of 2022 and, at the moment, he is more than happy to honour that deal.
He added: ‘I have got three years left on my contract.
It says I am going to be there, so that is all I can focus on now.’
