City ponder summer move for Cardiff youngster
Manchester City are showing a keen interest in signing Cardiff City prospect Cameron Coxe this summer, reports claim.
Coxe has been with the Welsh outfit since 2005, having joined the youth academy at the age of seven, and he has been making steady progress through the ranks over recent years.
However, the 20-year-old defender has only made one first-team appearance since signing a professional contract in February 2017 and he is becoming frustrated with the lack of opportunities.
It is now being claimed Premier League champions City are lining up a surprise move for the Wales Under-21 international, whose contract with the Bluebirds expires at the end of June.
The Citizens are rumoured to have scouted the defender several times this season and they are looking to acquire his services during the summer transfer window.
If Coxe makes the switch to the Etihad Stadium, he would be sent to one of City’s sister clubs, which include New York City, Melbourne City and Girona.
