Nottingham Forest are the latest club to be linked with a summer swoop for Bournemouth’s out-of-favour goalkeeper Asmir Begovic

The 31-year-old, who joined the Cherries from Chelsea in a £10million deal two years ago, is believed to be looking to depart the Vitality Stadium this summer after falling out of favour with boss Eddie Howe.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina international has played just four times since the beginning of January, while his last appearance came in the 3-1 home defeat against Burnley on April 6.

Begovic was given the final week of the season off by Howe, who has since denied talk of a fall-out between the pair, although it looks like his future is away from Bournemouth.

Fenerbahce and Olympiakos have already been linked with a move for Begovic, who is likely to be available for around £7.

5million, while Stoke could move for him if Jack Butland leaves them this summer.

Fresh reports are claiming that Forest boss Martin O’Neill is also keen to freshen up his goalkeeper options and would like to take Begovic.

The Championship side are owned by Evangelos Marinakis, who is also Olympiakos’ supremo, so there could be a possibility that the Greek side will sign him and then send him on loan to the City Ground.
