Gerrard – Off-field improvements can help us
Rangers coach Steven Gerrard is hoping the club can reap the rewards in the transfer market after improving their infrastructure.
The Gers boss is already planning for next season despite his team still having one more game to play this year.
Rangers will play Kilmarnock in their final Scottish Premiership game and Gerrard has got them playing well at the minute.
His team have won their last six games to secure second place and Gerrard believes the club’s work off the field will help them land their main transfer targets.
‘We’ve come in and tried to freshen things up, so we’ve tried to improve the training ground in the important areas,’ he said.
‘We’re trying to create an elite environment and with all due respect the place had become a little bit tired in certain areas.
‘I think when we’re trying to attract players and sign players and also re-motivate the players that we inherited, it’s important that they see we are trying to make the place better.’
