Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi is reportedly deciding between two potential formations for Wednesday’s Coppa Italia final against Atalanta.

Reports claim Inzaghi could implement a 3-5-2 formation or a 3-4-1-2 system, with the latter involving Luis Alberto playing a slightly more advanced position behind the two strikers, rather than roaming from the midfield.

Lazio have two paths into next season’s Europa League ahead of them, but they sit four points behind sixth-placed Roma in Serie A with only two matches to play.

‘It is a very important game, ‘ said Inzaghi at his pre-match press conference.

‘I have the good fortune to have so many players in the squad who have played important games, but we have to be very focused.

‘To go to Europe we have two roads, this is the shortest and simplest.

I also told [Italian] President [Sergio] Mattarella, these teams deserved to reach the final after an exciting ride.

‘ Lazio are contesting their 20th Coppa Italia final, winning 12 and losing seven of their past appearances.
