Monaco welcome Tielemans bidding war
Monaco will reportedly welcome a bidding war for midfielder Youri Tielemans this summer, with many top clubs said to be keen.
Following a poor first half of the season with the principality outfit, 22-year-old Tielemans was loaned out to Leicester City in January and showed his true colours with some superb displays.
Capped 21 times by Belgium, the former Anderlecht schemer bagged three Premier League goals from 13 appearances and won rave reviews for his performances as the Foxes rallied under Brendan Rodgers to finish the season ninth in the top-flight standings.
It seems as though the East Midlanders are keen to sign him on a permanent basis and hoped that Adrien Silva’s loan spell at the Ligue 1 club might help speed up the deal.
However, Sky Sports are reporting that, while Leonardo Jardim wants Silva at Monaco permanently, it will have no influence on Tielemans’ destination, with the Stade Louis II outfit keen to net as much cash as possible for their prized asset.
Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester United have all been linked and it seems likely that those three can outbid Leicester if they desire.
