Buffon to review PSG extension offer ‘in a few days’
Veteran goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon says a new contract offer for next season has been made to him.
Buffon was signed in the summer on an initial one-year contract, ending a 17-year association with Juventus.
His deal included an option of a further 12 months and it looks like Thomas Tuchel’s side are set to award him an extra season.
He has made 24 appearances during the campaign, sharing responsibilities between the sticks with young Frenchman Alphonse Areola.
And, the 41-year-old is delighted to see his glittering career set to be extended for a further year, as he aims to build on another Ligue 1 title.
‘The club have offered me an extension, which makes me really happy and fulfils me,’ he told Sky Uno.
‘We will meet in a few days to review this project and see if it is good to continue together.
‘ He added: ‘It’s going well in Paris.
I have exceptional life experience at 41 years old.
‘I arrived convinced I would be involved as a player and as a person, and I found what I came for.’
