Huddersfield Town forward Adama Diakhaby has reportedly emerged as a summer target for Fenerbahce.

France Under-21 international Diakhaby only arrived at the John Smith’s Stadium last summer from Monaco but he is already being tipped to make a quick exit from West Yorkshire.

The 22-year-old made just six Premier League starts this season as Huddersfield finished rock-bottom and he is set to be handed a chance to play his football at a higher level for the next campaign.

It is claimed Fenerbahce sporting director Damien Comolli recently met with the forward’s agent to discuss a potential transfer this summer and a deal could be wrapped up in the coming weeks.

The Ajaccio-born star doesn’t want to play in the Championship next season and the Terriers may look to cash in on one of their young assets, who is valued at around £5-7million.

Diakhaby’s contract with Huddersfield runs until June 2021, although the club have an option to extend it for one more season.
