Mousset courted by Scottish champions
Bournemouth striker Lys Mousset could be on the move with Celtic reportedly interested in signing him.
The Frenchman scored 14 goals in 36 appearances for Le Havre in French Ligue 2, triggering a move to Bournemouth for a 7million euro fee in the summer of 2016.
However, the 23-year-old has largely been a peripheral figure since moving to the Vitality Stadium, having only netted five times in 68 appearances for Eddie Howe’s men, most recently in February’s 5-1 loss to Arsenal.
Now, reports suggest that Celtic are willing to offer Mousset an escape route from the south coast as he has been unable to displace Callum Wilson and Josh King during his time with the club.
Mousset is rated at £10 million by Bournemouth but Celtic are thought to be reluctant in breaking their current transfer record – £9million for Odsonne Edouard last summer – and would prefer a player-plus-cash deal for him.
The report does not suggest who may go the other way if Bournemouth were to agree to such a deal.
