Ajax utility man wanted by Bundesliga club
Bayer Leverkusen are keen on signing Ajax utility player Daley Sinkgraven in the summer, according to reports.
Leverkusen manager Peter Bosz was in charge of Ajax from 2016 to 2017 and Sinkgraven played an important role in his side then.
However, he suffered a bad knee injury at the back end of Bosz’s tenure, and, since recovering, he has been unable to force his way back into the side on a regular basis.
He has made just 11 appearances this season, with 10 of them coming off the bench, and he has not scored or assisted for the side who have just won the domestic double and also got to the Champions League semi-finals.
Now, Bosz wants a reunion with his former player with Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen, who are fifth in the league heading into the final round of fixtures.
The left-back, who can also operate in midfield, only has one year remaining on his current deal, meaning a transfer is likely.
Bosz is a big fan of the player, saying: ‘I think he can reach the absolute world top as a left back.’
