Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is the latest name to be linked with the Juventus post following the news that Massimiliano Allegri is to leave.

Allegri, who won 11 major titles in his stint at Juve, will see his contract terminated a year early by mutual consent and could be a target for Premier League clubs soon.

Reports in Italy now claim that Juve have been in contact with Sarri after seeing approaches rejected by Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola and Tottenham chief Mauricio Pochettino earlier in the season.

Sarri’s posistion at Stamford Bridge is far from clear despite the fact he ended the season in third place and could yet win the Europa League, so any approach from Juventus might be just what he is looking for.

Juventus directors Pavel Nedved and Fabio Paratici have also been linked with ex-Chelsea and Italy boss Antonio Conte but he is in advanced negotiations with Inter Milan and Bianconeri president Andrea Agnelli apparently still harbours a bit of a grudge following their 2014 falling out.

Lazio boss Simone Inzaghi, who has led the Serie A side to the Italian Super Cup and Coppa Italia, is also understood to be a prime candidate for the role.
