PSG man not concerned about new deal
PSG defender Dani Alves is reportedly holding off talks over a new deal in order to attract interest from the Premier League.
The Brazilian right-back is out of contract at the Parc des Princes this summer and has allegedly frustrated the club by being non-committal on signing a new contract.
He has figured 27 times in all competitions this season, scoring three times for Thomas Tuchel’s side, but now appears to be angling for a move away from the club.
The 36-year-old is thought to want a two-year deal at this stage which the Parisians are unwilling to give him, and he is now seeking a move to the Premier League to finish off his glittering career.
Manchester City, Manchester United, and Chelsea have all been linked with his signature in recent months.
When interviewed at the Spanish Grand Prix last weekend, Alves was coy over his future.
‘For the time being, I have not made a decision for my future, the only clue I can give is that I have a lot of options,’ he said.
‘It’s not something I like to think about.
Until the end of June I am with PSG and until then I will give me 200% to the club.
‘If I stay, I will continue to do my best.
If I do not stay, I will continue to do my best elsewhere, but still be grateful for the opportunities I had.’
