Saints face Wilson battle
Southampton are one of several clubs from England and abroad that are said to be interested in Liverpool youngster Harry Wilson.
Interest in the Wales international is expected to be high this summer, Wilson having enjoyed an impressive season on loan at Derby, helping them to the Championship playoff final where they will face Aston Villa for a place in the Premier League on Monday.
The Rams are one of the clubs that are believed to be interested in signing Wilson on a permanent basis this summer, but that will only realistically happen if they secure promotion to the top-flight.
Southampton, alongside Newcastle and Brighton, are also said to be keen, with Saints boss Ralph Hasenhuttl looking to bolster his attacking options within his squad.
Liverpool have reportedly placed a £25million price tag on Wilson, who is also attracting interest from clubs in Germany and Spain.
Saints could certainly prove an attractive proposition for Wilson given their reputation for developing young talent, while a number of players have moved between St Mary’s and Anfield over recent years.
