West Ham keeping tabs on Magpies duo
West Ham are reportedly interested in Newcastle duo Isaac Hayden and Jonjo Shelvey but will only move for one.
Manuel Pellegrini was handed huge financial backing by the West Ham board last term and he is expected have some money to play with again this summer.
It’s understood that a midfielder is high on the Chilean’s list of targets, having previously been linked with Victor Camarasa, but they look unlikely to land the Spaniard.
Hayden looks a more likely candidate to arrive at the London Stadium after attempting to force a move away last summer.
The 24-year-old wants to head south to be closer to his family and West Ham are prepared to offer him that opportunity.
The report states a fee of $15million could be enough to convince Newcastle into a sale this summer.
Shelvey is being lined up as a back-up option to Hayden and Newcastle are willing to listen to offers as they look to get the £80,000-a-week man off their books.
