Chelsea set hefty Hazard price
Chelsea are reportedly willing to sell Eden Hazard to Real Madrid this summer, but only if their £130million valuation is met.
Belgium international Hazard has been consistently linked with a move from Chelsea to the Bernabeu over recent months and he recently confirmed that he has made a decision over his future, although nothing will be revealed until after next week’s Europa League final against Arsenal in Baku.
Chelsea are not believed to be under any pressure to sell Hazard and they have now seemingly placed a sizable valuation on his head, particularly given that Real are reportedly only willing to pay £88million for the 28-year-old, who is set to enter the final 12 months of his contract at Stamford Bridge.
It would certainly be a blow if the Blues were to lose Hazard, particularly given the transfer ban that currently hangs over them, although boss Maurizio Sarri, whose own future remains uncertain, has stated that the club must respect the forward’s decision whatever he chooses to do.
Hazard has scored 108 goals in 351 appearances since joining Chelsea for a reported £32million from Lille in 2012 and he has won five major trophies during his time in West London, including two Premier League titles and the Europa League in 2013.
