Contract talks scheduled to resolve winger’s future
Leroy Sane’s future should become clearer in the next few days after Manchester City’s latest round of contract talks with the winger.
Various sources are reporting that City are planning to hold ‘last ditch’ talks with the father and UK representatives of the German international in the coming days following Bayern Munich’s confirmed interest in signing the ex-Schalke star.
City have become frustrated with a lack of progress in talks over a new deal at the Etihad Stadium, although they remain hopeful he can be convinced into signing an extension.
He still has two years left on his existing contract so City won’t be pressured into any sale but they will look to move him on if the outcome of the talks is that the player wants to go.
Reports claim City value Sane at over 100m euros – which might be too rich for Bayern, who have already shattered their transfer record by signing Lucas Hernandez from Atletico Madrid for 80m this year.
